Salute to another of The Great Generation!!! Thank You So Much For Sharing This!!! It meant a Lot to me because one of our Uncles that served in the Pacific was a Chief Machinist Mate on the Submarine Tender, USS Canopus, that was sank off the islands. He and others were rescued and taken to several islands. He was taken to Corregidor were he lost his left arm defending the beaches of Corregidor. He served briefly with this Heroic Veteran and was also captured and was a POW for three and half years before being liberated by the Silent Rangers that saved his prison camp!!! May God Bless!!! Doc
