MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. My first horse was a Cavalry horse. She was born the same year I was. Although they weren't using them in battle by then, the US continued keeping them so civilians could improve their horses through selective breeding.

I never understood the British allure with The Sudan. I'm sure Kitchner's treat of the wounded Mahdis was fueled by the massacre of Gordon and his command.
