"especially from the South"

The very first thing that came to mind were words that possibly could have preceded an injury .... "Hey, Billy Bob ... watch this!"

This is true. I worked at the Physical Evaluation Board for 2018 to 2020. I couldn't believe the number of cases we had with stress fractures, shin splints, and feet problems.

I had the bad luck to suffer a stress fracture to my second metatarsal on my right foot on the swing-landing trainer at jump school. I sat out four weeks, went back and broke my right ankle and tore ligaments during tower week. That required 12-weeks in a cast, so they sent me off to AOBC at Knox without my wings. . . .

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. Well that's sucked. I only had one opportunity for airborne school but I had to attend Ranger school first. When I had heat stroke during Ranger training, I wasn't able to finish and never got to airborne.
