A gunman killed five people and wounded at least eight others during a Monday morning shooting in downtown Louisville, Ky., authorities said.
The din of the morning rush hour was shattered by the sound of gunfire from the Old National Bank Building, just across the street from Louisville Slugger Field.
Emergency calls first came in around 8:30 a.m., and police responded within three minutes of being dispatched.
Responding officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect, 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon, who was shot and killed by police, according to Louisville Metro Police Department Interim Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel.
Sturgeon was an employee of the bank and used a rifle to carry out the attack, she added. Gwinn-Villaroel said she did not yet know how the gunman obtained the weapon. She said the attack was livestreamed online.
"Today, I'm hurt," Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said, "and I'm hurting. And I know so many people out there are as well."

Sturgeon reportedly texted a friend prior to the shooting saying that "he was feeling suicidal and would shoot up the bank."
In one group chat message, Sturgeon reportedly sent photos that included one that stated "they won’t listen to words or protests, let’s see if they hear this," one that said "Monday vibes" and "I could burn this whole place down," and another that stated "I know what I have to do but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it." A photo of the chat was reportedly posted to Sturgeon’s Instagram, with the same handle, on Monday morning.
There are radical elements of our society that believe if you don't listen and act upon what they are saying then they have the right to go and use violence.

So what exactly about the article is wrong? Did the shooter put up anti-Trump posts on Reddit? True. Did the shooter put up pro-lockdown posts on Reddit? True. Did he send the texts and post messages on social media as described above? True.
Here are some more sources -- want to fact check them? Sorry they aren't CNN or MSNBC. I noticed the left media scrupulously avoided any mention of this guy and his ties to the left, anti-Trump rhetoric, etc.

Police have not identified a motive, but the shooter was reportedly told he was being fired from the bank.
