This is so disappointing. Just how many layers of corruption can you stack on top of such a high salary? These people are supposed to be public servants, yet they continue to institute long-term structural corruption into the government agencies they are paid a premium in public funds to manage. I'd like to believe that it's not intentional but that just strains the bounds of all reason.

SSG John Gillespie it's about the almighty $$$... they can burn in hell if it means that much to them. Sounds like there should have been better oversight on that dude.

The worst part is that the corruption would likely have gone unnoticed if not for the CEO's failure to comply with the 2021 law requiring divestment of public funds from ESG schemes.
How many more of these sorts of corruption schemes are going on out there, robbing the public blind, in Texas alone?
I know for a fact that Sen John Cornyn's office in Austin is also running a scheme similar to the one described in this article, having visited both his office and Sen Ted Cruz's office, the latter being located in the Federal building. What I don't know is exactly how that office is funded, though I believe they may have some form of a public budgetary allowance. Public office space is definitely available though and his official office is rented space located in a bank instead. Seems totally legitimate.
