How long does it take to put out a fire in a fossil fueled automobile? About 5 minutes if it is really going great guns. Nobody is shooting HE and Armor Piercing rounds at them.

The batteries have reduced life before charging in extreme weather.

An EV typically weighs between 2.5 - 3.5 times as much as a comparable fossil fueled vehicle, and doesn't deliver the same range. How heavy will a main battle tank be if it is an EV? How will we get them ashore in ship to shore landings? How will we air transport them?

How long does it take to put out a fire in an EV? Hours.

Running things like music/video players, heaters, AC etc. seriously reduce range in an EV as compared to fossil fuel cost for the same systems. Now what happens when you try to run tactical systems in armored vehicles?

Secretary Granholm has a very poorly thought-out plan that will make our fighting forces paper tigers.

Are the fusion engines ready yet? Damm!
Maybe we should wait another century.
