These incidents where people open the front door and fire without asking anything are illegal and these people should be prosecuted. The same for shooting someone who pulls into your driveway unless they are brandishing a weapon out the window...and probably not even then

Outstanding share, Maj Robert Thornton!!! Mire people are going to be hurt by this, unfortunately, due to "Stand Your Ground" ignorance... which is a defense postured rule, not a license to open fire on someone randomly... In my view, Anyone who wants self protection under the SYG ruling, should still be licensed, and required to take at least a 4 hour course in basic firearm use, including live fire training... Just recommending! I have an LTC (License to Carry), & follow all firearm safety rules...

It baffles me the places getting rid of required education. Those classes are not designed to 'infringe on the right,' they are there to protect you as the firearms owner. Especially in TX the course was designed to protect the LTC. Specifically, they taught me what would land me in jail and to not do it.
