Good move if you ask me. Promotions in the Marines has been too slow causing many to leave at the end of their first enlistment. You shouldn't have to re-enlist to get to the rank of Sgt.

I made E5 in Vietnam after 25 months in the Corps. They need to speed up the promotions to keep experienced people to train the new recruits.
