PO1 Kevin Dougherty we honor his memory and sacrifice, if not for the actions he took countless other lives would have been lost.

I actually have the pleasure of dealing with and seeing Thomas Kelley, Captain, USN, (Ret) who had been serving as Secretary of Veteran's affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. here were medal of Honor plates on His vehicle. He knew Me well enough to call Me by My first name anyhow although in view of His rank I usually addressed Him as Captain. He did do a good job sticking up for and working for Veterans until a Governor from the Democratic party, Devall Patrick, decided to terminate Him for no valid reason with only political motivations which sure didn't sit well With Me or the other Veterans in Massachusetts. The other staff Members from the State Department of Veterans affair were just as upset as I was if not more and He had a great staff. My salute to Him for His acts of bravery and in my experience also being a great person Who I very much enjoyed seeing and talking to on a regular basis.
