One of these suicides are because of alcohol. A full bird colonel I knew was buddies with a Marine lieutenant colonel Battalion Commander AKA squadron commander who was
also a DEA agent. They were drinking at a bar after work and his buddy was frustrated with his job. Because of his drinking, he went home and shot himself to death. This is not said in the article but alcohol is a factor and we've had at least one General kill himself because he was drinking and had mental issues and he did not seek mental help.
