Part of what’s at play is the ever-increasing costs of housing and college and child care, which have caused upper-middle-class Americans to experience more of a crunch for years. Other issues are more recent, like inflation, which everybody hates.
What this amounts to is people who aren’t used to financial insecurity feeling uneasier than they’re accustomed to. The bottom hasn’t fallen out for them, but the ground is less solid in a way it hasn’t been in the past.

MSG Stan Hutchison - State election laws are made by state legislatures. Under the cover of Covid, state executive branches rapidly changed the way people got and submitted their ballots, with unpredictable and potentially disastrous results.
Election procedure changes along with questionable results (i.e. Antrim County, Central Lake Township [across the street from my farm]) cast doubt on the elections. Do I think the election was stolen? No, probably not. But this is the very first election where the idea was not entirely laughable. The fqact that there is some question bothers me. And that question was brought abought by questionable actions by democrats members of the executive branch of multiple states.
Calling January 6th a serious attempt at an overthrow of the government is laughable. It wasn't even piss in the wind.
