Very cool share brother Dale, being a former Aid Defender "PATRIOT". Was always impressed with what our "phased array radar" could do. Pilots were so funny always trying to pull crazy moves to get us to drop track. What I told them in out briefs, if we loose line of sight i.e. mountains or curvature of the earth. Other wise no dice. In Germany we could track cars on the autobahn lol

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. A ‘late’ friend told of how he, as a B 17 pilot had been briefed on British radar capabilities. When his plane, returning from Germany crashed in the Channel, he was confident that they had been tracked by that radar and would be rescued, and they were!

We were fortunate he was on our side. Radar and Sonar helped save our collective keisters!
