My son's first assignment there was as XO of one of the ROKA companies assigned to the battalion at headquartered at Camp Liberty Bell. He came back to the states for Ranger School, then went to the 1-506th at Camp Graves as a rifle plt. ldr. for a year, followed by six months as Spt. Plt. ldr. He finished up spending another eight months as the asst. S3 at Camp Liberty Bell before finally going to IOAC at Benning having spent three years in Korea.

I think that this is a case of the Army screwing up as well. If the genius was in that much trouble, why was he not confined and then escorted back to the US for separation?
