I don't think it was 4 years that did it. I think it was public opinion. I cannot fathom ignoring the existence of a grandchild and not wanting to be as much a part of their life as I possibly can be.

To someone like Joe Biden stature and appearance mean everything. You are right, he saw his stature declining among his base supporters because of his decision not to recognize his granddaughter. I can’t say in public what that makes him in my book.
