The troops didn't create this loss of confidence. The Generals, the appointed leaders residing in the Pentagon, and the president did.

I haven't lost confidence in the troops. They will always find a way to win.
I have, however lost confidence in the leadership. Everyone that gets to O-7 or higher looks to a political post in the Pentagon. They no longer focus on the wellbeing of the troops that they are/have led. They are looking for a soft landing spot as Chief of something that doesn't get them dirty.
It only seems like those that have bent to the power of DEI or other political winds are the ones that get those positions. Real leaders are put to pasture and the structure, strength and quality of our military goes down the drain.

We are seeing what happens when crackerjack ring flag generals destroy the morale and confidence of troops who are suppose to be mission ready rather than sitting around camp fires singing kumbaya. New Chief of Staff Brown fits same mold as Milley and Austin, not worth the spit to shine their boots.
