The 7th ID had a rough go in the Aleutians. The weather and terrain were a worse enemy than the Japanese.

It is not always easy to leave perception and assumption at the door when objectivity is required, but it is necessary. It is also a lesson about the weaknesses of our own human nature it is useful to be reminded from time to time - to avoid painful needing to relearn it.
