I still don't, and never have, support(ed) abortion as a form of birth control. Now, that being said, I DO and will always continue to support a woman's access to proper medical care in regards to abortion or other reproductive measures. I'm realistic enough to realize carrying a baby to term for the purpose of adoption is not always a viable option for women. Neither is keeping a baby that she is physically, financially, or emotionally prepared to rear. I would rather there be unrestricted access to properly trained and certified abortive services BUT emphasize programs that would make abortion unnecessary by preventing unwanted pregnancy in the first place. Sorry Religious Right, but "abstinence only" programs has proven to be a dismal failure.
