Politifact, considered to be a left leaning fact checker disagrees. This video may have their own opinion or interpretation of the facts, but to flatly state DeSantis is "lying" is a stretch and even if true, the left LOVES to claim crime statistics are going down when they are in fact clearly not.

Lies, damn lies, and statistics.
1st things first. This dude provides absolutely no evidence. No links to reports, no numbers, he doesn't even flash an inforgraphic. Just accusations for shuts and giggles.
2nd, apples to apples. If Florida has historically reported all crimes as one crime, as he is discussing, and they CONTINUE to report all crimes as one crime, and that number GOES DOWN, then saying crime has gone down is not at all a lie. It is an apples to apples conparison.comparison. What it sounds like rhis guy is trying to do is apples to oranges. I can't very (see above) but he wants to compare the new methodology of all crimes as all crimes to the old methodology of all crimes as one crime. Well, OF COURSE the numbers will go up. But it is not a fair comparison.
3rd, he is an idiot. Mugging is not a property crime. Yes, it is better than murder, but it is still a violent crime. When I was shot in a carjacking I didn't say "gosh, thank goodness it was only a carjacking, somebody could have been HURT!"

It is no accident that New York is trying to get New Yorkers back from Florida. Left of Lenin Democrats don't get or understand that crime and lack of cops can force the middle class and well to do to move elsewhere. Since Democrats are stupid with tax and spend, they are now realizing that their tax base is leaving and then when they raise taxes more, more people move away. It's interesting that I was listening to the Fox News business this morning that the governor of Montana just gave a billion dollars in tax cuts and they are increasing people over there. When I went to Great falls, Montana a few months ago. I didn't see hardly any homeless at all.
I'm not saying that Montana doesn't have crime but I'm sure that it doesn't show up as far as per thousand people compared to all the blue cities you mentioned.
Democrats of today that are not the Democrats of the 1990s. The Democrats of the 1990s are moderate Republicans today. JFK and President Clinton in the 1990s would be a moderate Republican today.
