This town banned Pride because of drag. Now they’re getting sued for restricting free speech.

I've known gay people my entire life. Heck, my co-pilot in Vietnam was gay! What are Republicans so afraid of?

The city of Murfreesboro is being sued by the Tennessee Equality Project Foundation (TEP) for “flagrant and ongoing violations of TEP’s constitutional rights to free speech and expression, due process, and equal protection under the law” after banning Pride because of drag1. The lawsuit was filed last week. Similarly, Friends of George’s, an LGBTQ+ theater company, filed a federal lawsuit against Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy and the state, saying the state intended with the law to “explicitly restrict or chill speech and expression protected by the First Amendment based on its content, its message, and its messenger”...
