Asteroid Bennu samples revealed! 'Contain abundant water,' says NASA Chief

A long time ago, I posted a NASA Video of the OSIRIS-REx mission to attempt to change the trajectory of Asteroid Bennu... and collect samples of the the rocky material crust of Bennu and return them to Earth... I followed that up with the subsequent return of the samples to Earth... Now I bring you a short video of what these samples include as well as the results of the mission to change the Trajectory...
Here is the first glimpse at some of the samples collected by the OSIRIS-REx mission of asteroid Bennu. The samples studied so far contain "abundant water in the form of hydrated clay minerals and they contain carbon," according to NASA administrator Bill Nelson.
We have made tremendous strides in our ability to send man made devices to the far reaches of space within our solar system, and both meet our target goals and return samples of extra solar material to Earth for analysis...

Interesting, water would have been the last thing I'd have guessed.

Thanks for the update! Now we know that the material which forms our rocky planets had the water and carbon needed for life to develop. Even so that it has developed in the way it has on Earth, but not elsewhere in the same ways during the same amount of time is still a big question. Looking forward to what further analysis will reveal!
