PO1 William "Chip" Nagel far better than throwing people in prison...
..."The survey also indicated that a majority of Kansas residents would vote for candidates based on their positions on marijuana policy.

Nearly 64% of respondents were “highly” or “somewhat like” to vote for a candidate who supports medical marijuana legalization as they decided who to vote for in the Kansas Legislature; 14.8% of respondents said they were unlikely to vote for a candidate who supports medical marijuana.

The Kansas Speaks survey is prepared by Brett Zollinger, director of the Docking Institute at FHSU; Jian Sun, assistant director; Michael Walker, research scientist; and Marisa M. Johnson, Administrative Specialist. The mission of the survey is provide a representative sample of public opinion in Kansas to “facilitate effective public policy decision-making among governmental and nonprofit entities.” This year’s survey was co-sponsored by The Wichita Journalism Collaborative, a partnership group of 11 news organizations and nonprofits in Wichita that includes The Eagle."

Just legalize it already..
Sure it can be abused but when was the last time you heard about someone smoking some weed and then beating his wife and kids?
How many minutes has it been since a drunk has done that?
Seriously, legalize it and tax it.
Really want to sell it being a good idea? Tell the politicians it will bring in more tax revenue to send to Ukraine.
In all seriousness, just legalize it already.

MSG Billy Brumfield Spot On! It's been Many Moons since I Smoked Weed but All it ever did was Make Me Mellow and Paranoid at the Same Time, I Know that doesn't sound right but we Used to Smoke it almost around the Corner from the Prairie Village Police Station. LOL! It Also Made Me Laugh Like an Insane Person Sometimes. No Harm in That! Tax Revenue for the State? I'm Cool With That! Nothing is Free and Government Needs to be Funded.

I can't speak from experience as I have had to maintain my clearance since I was 17. I do know in my 20's I was a happy drunk unless I had been drinking regularly for an extended period of time, then I was an asshole drunk. Never really drank the hard stuff mostly just beer. My brother gave me a 12 pack for Christmas last year and it is still unopened as I still have a beer left from my birthday 12 pack last year. Don't really drink anymore and not a fan of smoking personally but would be willing to try an edible if it will help the chronic pains and migraines.

As a clinician over 5 decades I oppose this movement as the most common clinical presentation is poly-substance abuse and MJ is a very complex substance.

SSgt Richard Kensinger It's a Drug and Any Drug can be Abused. I've Smoked Weed and I Drank a Lot of Booze, Still Like Booze Better. Now Abuse? Using Weed so You Can Drink More since It Inhibits the Urge to Puke when You've Had to Much is a Recipe for Alcohol Poisoning. Yeah as a Youngster I Mixed the Two.
