Man, the Navy just burns through Officer's like nobody's business. There must be a endless supply of them somewhere.

Yup. The army has a decent centralized selection system and has good precommand courses for battalion and brigade COs . . .

Ok, my thoughts. 1) with all these senior officers being “fired” how were they chosen for the position? Why is there no info on who commanded them..ie is there a common command or do they have “toxic” leadership they were under? How were they promoted to this level if they were not up to the task? 2) were they just what was available and thrown into the job with no support and sink or swim? 3) OR there is a purge going on to remove non like minded commanders (political)
So in short my thinking is they were either not up to the job in the first place but were put there due to nothing else in the pipe; were just set up for failure with a shitty higher command; or are being purged on purpose.
