Good morning Sgt (Join to see). I think two things: Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen is right, and that planet HD 100546 B is an example of a body that gravity helped create through accretion, but there wasn't sufficient mass present for it to become a star (e.g. mass collapsing the force of gravity allowing nuclear fusion to start).

Scientists have often cited the same about our Planetary 'Jupiter' as well... I agree with you, in that the size of planet HD 100546 B would be another possible "Sun" that just couldn't quite make it...
