Recommended: Fifty Lessons from the Treaty of Versailles

I've read many different accounts of how the decisions made at Versailles basically "guaranteed" another war...and while that is likely true, nothing, eixplains or excuses the behavior of the Germans towward others...the Jews, the Romani, the ill, conquered countries, etc.

I get it. The European Allies were pissed at being almost completely destroyed and wanted retribution. Perhaps they should have had better controls, inspections, and controls on the losers.
