The U.S. Marines sent to safeguard the KSCB were penned down by the PAVN, until Operations Niagara and Scotland won their release. Ultimately, General Westmoreland and the MACV decided to move out of Khe Sanh and the PAVN claimed victory over the mighty Americans. Was this a major turning point in the War in Vietnam; was the Siege on Khe Sanh the decision point to pullout U.S. troops from Vietnam? For those who sacrificed their lives. Lest we Forget.

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana - But Gene, if we didn't stick our nose in where it doesn't belong, wasting billions of dollars on wars, what would we spend the wasted dollars on? Surely, we're not going to pay off the national debt! We're not about to make all Americans eligible for Medicare! We're not going to make social security solvent by having Congress return the money they stole, plus interest, from our payments into social security!
We're not going to fund high speed rail projects and rebuild our infrastructure! We're not going to build housing so that we can get the American homeless off our streets! We're not going to provide mental health services to indigents! We are not going to provide alcoholics and drug addicts treatment!
Naw. We'd be (GASP!) socialists if we actually took care of Americans! So, it's better to waste money, flushing it down the Pentagon, on defense contractors creating more efficient weapons, and "testing" these weapons in countries that we think are our enemies, waging all kinds of wars!
It's much, much better to be called MACHO WARMONGERS rather than (GASP!) bleeding heart socialists!

SPC (Join to see), lest we forget. Politicians play politics with the lives of uniformed service members by sending them into harm's way to win over vote banks prior to elections. Politicians forget that soldiers are humans too and these humans have families and feelings. Rather, it is about politicians themselves and their elections, and winning the perception of America and its allies who can influence the masses in the U.S to win elections.

SPC (Join to see), tell you what John, let's eliminate the U.S. Armed Forces completely and drown into American History again. Let everyone become Billy the Kid and relive Tombstone. Let us reinstate slavery in the U.S. and reenact the Hollywood blockbuster Roots. I am amused.
