It can be daunting to make a turkey for friends and family for Thanksgiving, especially if you haven't done it before. How big should the bird be? What seasoning should you use? What recipe should you try?
Lan Lam, a chef, senior editor for Cook's Illustrated magazine and a cast member of the cooking show America's Test Kitchen, has cooked 500 turkeys in her life — and she says "it's a lot easier than you would think."
It's also "a great starter project" for beginner cooks, she says. "It doesn't require a ton of equipment or complicated knife skills."

I have had wild hog and it truly is the best meat...just has a better taste. My wife and I eat a lot of venison. I kill about two to three a year and fill the freezer and when it starts getting low it is about hunting season again. I don't hunt rack...I hunt meat...deer, squirrel, rabbit, turkey, dove, duck etc. It all tastes better and I know it is all natural.

Doe And Young Buck Meat Is More Tender Than An 8 Or 10 Pointer That Is 3-4 Years Old .
Besides, I Have A 12 Pointer Hanging On My Wall That I Got 15 Years Ago And I Have Not Seen Another Buck That Large Since.

We had our family Thanksgiving on Saturday so we could all travel as we wanted to on the actual day. My wife brined a Turkey overnight and then slow roasted it and that was absolutely the best Turkey I have ever put in my mouth. I am not a white meat fan but that was all I ate. May have to make another in a couple of months just to have it again.
