And slavery still exists in many parts of the world...check out what is happening in many Islamic countries...people go there to work, their passports and papers are taken, they are not allowed to leave, they are denied the right to worship, to make any decisions for themselves.....

it's interesting how easily the human race has accepted serfdom of any type over freedom. For instance, freedom had the monarchy on the ropes in medieval England and all they got was The Magna Carta. Sure they got some rights, but very little freedom to exercise those rights.
