He's not mistaken. He's just flat out lying. Mistaken means being wrong in one's opinion or judgment. There is no factual debate over what he said during his oath of office. He took the oath to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution, and that fact isn't based on opinion or judgment.

LTC Kevin B. I agree with you, he is wrong. I just want to point out that both men are in jeopardy in more ways than one. President Trump is no angel and he could be an assh#le. I just want fair judgment for both men because it looks like certain elements in the u s government and state governments waited until President Trump decided to run again before doing a hail mary of indictments. Some of these politicians in office ran on the promise to go after President Trump.
