Much like the with power struggle after WWII where a host of entities were jostling for control of the intelligence community in the US, Russia is currently facing a similar problem where the FSB, SVR and GRU and even units within these group are all competing for control. While all this infighting might sound like a good thing its not as it creates a highly aggressive environment where groups and or individuals are willing to take very risky actions in a quest for command and control. As well this creates a lot of chaos and confusion as there is a lot of overlap. These internal struggles within Russia have led competing agencies to behave erratically and as we have an election just around the corner my bet is that this next election cycle is going to be a complete shit show in using the last election cycle.

My guess is we will see universities being the fountainhead of a lot of political/pro-Russian movements in an attempt to sow discord in our next election much like with the pro-Palestinian protest we are seeing now. Last cycle we saw a wave of socialist/social justice platforms being used to influence the election and I feel Russia may have learned a thing or two in what works in persuading the masses and see them using same or possible new and improved platforms as a way in in their attempt to meddle with the next election.
