Donald Trump's 'witch hunt' claims are rank hypocrisy

Donald Trump has recently been crying wolf by declaring America’s legal system is a “witch hunt” against him. Trump claims the New York, Georgia, Florida and District of Columbia court cases — with 91 felony charges — are politically motivated to restrict his ability to run for president in 2024.
Anyone with a modicum of intelligence would realize the hypocrisy of Trump’s current ploy if they knew he never once declared “witch hunt” in the 62 lawsuits he filed and lost while contesting the 2020 election. Note: Trump-appointed judges were among the 80-plus magistrates who dismissed his election fraud lawsuits.
Let’s not forget nine jurors and not a judge awarded E. Jean Carroll $5 million because of Trump’s sexual abuse and defamation; a fact-driven verdict, not a witch hunt. A federal judge ruled the ex-president’s comments about Carroll were libelous. A second trial (Carroll v. Trump) is set to start Jan. 15, the day of the Iowa GOP Caucus.
MAGA Trumpers probably haven’t let it sink in that New York Supreme Court 1st Judicial District Judge Arthur Engoron already ruled that Donald, his sons and the Trump Organization repeatedly committed fraud during the last decade; again, a fact-driven decision.
Furthermore, Trump never once, to the best of my knowledge, cried wolf or uttered “witch hunt” in the 4,000-plus lawsuits that encompassed his life. USA TODAY notes that Trump has been the plaintiff 2,121 times and a defendant 1,929 times. The media’s ongoing analysis of Trump’s legal findings are broken down as follows: 1) 17 political campaign cases; six within the past year, 2) 190 government and tax cases, 3) 85 product branding and trademark cases, 4) 1,863 casino-related cases, 5) 208 class action cases over contract disputes tied to real estate developments, 6) 130 employee-employment cases, 7) 63 golf club-related cases, 8) 14 media outlet or individual defamation cases, 9) 697 personal injury cases, 10) 622 real estate cases and 11) 206 other miscellaneous cases.

In the 1992 recording, a 46-year-old Trump asks a little girl if she’s going to go up an escalator. Then Trump turns to the camera and says, “I am going to be dating her in 10 years. Can you believe it?”
Trump could actually be a pedophile, noting that “not all people who sexualize children are pedophiles, but all pedophiles sexualize children.” So when public figures talk this way about children, she said, it definitely enables people who are pedophiles. And that puts children at real risk of harm.

A woman who accused Donald Trump of raping her two decades ago when she was a 13-year-old aspiring teen model has again dropped a federal lawsuit over the alleged assaults.
The accuser, identified in the lawsuit by the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” was expected to appear at a news conference in Los Angeles Wednesday, but that appearance was abruptly canceled.
The lawyer who organized the event, Lisa Bloom, said Trump’s accuser had received threats and was too frightened to show up.
In the most recent suit, Trump’s accuser asserted that while she was exploring a modeling career in 1994, she attended a series of parties at the Manhattan home of prominent investor Jeffrey Epstein. She alleges that during those parties the real estate mogul tied her to a bed and raped her. She also claimed Epstein raped her during that series of gatherings.
Doe named Trump and Epstein as defendants in the suits and says they knew she was well under 17 — the age of consent. “I understood that both Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein knew that I was 13 years old,” she wrote.
Two earlier suits were filed over the same alleged events.
Subsequent news reports raised doubts about who filed the suit. Johnson claimed she had just $300 in assets and that she was living at a home in Twentynine Palms, California, but Radar Online reported neighbors said the home had been foreclosed upon and vacant since its owner died last year.
U.S. District Court Judge Dolly Gee dismissed that case in May, ruling that Johnson’s complaint didn’t raise valid claims under federal law. Gee, an appointee of President Barack Obama, noted that the suit cited a criminal statute that doesn’t give rise to civil damages and that the civil statute Johnson cited only applies to actions based on “race-based or class-based animus.”
Another version of the suit was filed in federal court in June, but withdrawn in September after apparently never being served on the defendants.
The case was refiled later that month.
The second and third iterations of the complaint accused Trump of only a single act of rape, but said he had “sexual contact” with the accuser on three other occasions. A declaration from an anonymous witness attached to the later suits continued to accuse Trump of four acts of rape or sexual assault.
A lawyer for Epstein declined to the comment on the lawsuits.
About a decade ago, Epstein came under investigation by local and federal authorities near his Palm Beach, Florida, home over allegations that he solicited underage girls to have sex with him at that residence and another on an island he owned in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Epstein pleaded guilty in June 2008 to two state felony charges relating to prostitution and was sentenced to 18 months in jail.
He served only 13 months before being released but was required to register as a sex offender.
