I am sure you all remember when all the hype was about the James Webb Space Telescope from the minute it went throughout its build cycle, inspections, corrections, and launch and now it is in relatively deep space at it's designated Lagrange Point from Earth... It has had a cost and the costs of support continue... Is it worth it at a price tag of 6-Billion $$$? I think so and so do many others, but why...

Investments in Space exploration are always a risk, but the rewards for a successful mission will always outweigh the risks. I was worried about Webb until it settled in its LaGrange point. Even with one damaged mirror, it delivers amazing images that have challenged science.
