The founding fathers intended for our government to move forward with a consensus above and beyond the will of a simple majority. Simple majorities can quickly devolve into "tyranny of the masses" subject to changes in the wind.

Failure to reach a clear and overwhelming consensus is not failure of government. It is success. I think Secretary Mayorkas is doing a crap job. I think that crap job is at the direction of President Biden. But to remove him without a clear and overwhelming consensus of the people is a political precedent that will do nothing more than destabilize government.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - Have you ever heard the term "that's legal stealing"? This is the same principle. All law enforcement operates under the Administration, they hesitate to go against their Commander in Chief, or people/organizations they recognize will come after them personally. MHO

SSG(P) (Join to see) - That is the brilliance of transporting illegal aliens to blue state sanctuary cities. Those two governors took a state problem and elevated it to a national problem. It was a brilliant strategy that is in the early stages of creating an overwhelming national consensus.

The only way to get liberal/progressive/anti-corporate/green new deal/democrats to see the error of their ways is to make them suffer the unintended consequences of their flawed ideology. The trick is giving the rope to hang themselves without doing irreparable harm.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - While I am appalled at what is happening at the border, there would not be 100K deaths a year from drugs if there was not a market and people wanting to do them. If the market was for those drugs to go south and not north they would.

I truly wanted to see this guy impeached and removed but am very ok with GOP not all voting party lines. We need to stop this voting party lines crap and vote how their constituents want them to vote.

Note - Rep. Blake Moore, R-Utah switched his vote to no to ensure there could be another vote.

SFC (Join to see) - It's a procedural move. He wasn't aware Scalise was out sick and that one of the other two was going to vote nay. So in order to allow another vote, he had to vote nay. I'm not sure exactly what the rule is or how it works, but this is what was reported. They plan to vote again next week.

We always get what we vote for. This is why people say impeachment is a political process. it really is. It should never be confused with a criminal court. Democrats and RINOS typically like to say stuff like that.

I would disagree, we hope and hold our noses then they do as they wish if they get elected. It seems to me it's a compromise of the lesser of evils between candidates of who we feel has the most traits and talking points to match our goals. Then they sell us out anyway, we are in a state of cold war for this nation. The Left are communists and anti-American, that can be established conclusively and factually. Many of the right are only interested in making profits and stealing as much as possible while in office
