I see his point...most companies and organizations will not give you services for free which is essentially what this is.

I agree with President Trump, why should the U.S. keep shedding our blood and spending our taxpayers hard earned dollars defending NATO, especially when they won’t or don’t contribute their fair share for their own defense. We can’t continue spending billions and Trillions in Ukraine while the American people are going broke while our supposed friends could care the least bit about us borrowing from China to pay for the Ukrainian government’s monthly pay and retirement fund. We can’t spending good money on no results, if we were there this war would be over considering what Ukraine has accomplished without going into Russia to finish destroying their supply lines. No one wants to do that because they’re fearful of Russia and their willingness to use Nukes.

Forgive me for tagging onto your comment. Inasmuch as @PO1 William "Chip Nagel fears my participation on his discussion threads, I can't respond directly to him. Of course, he and his compatriots jump to conclusions vilifying anyone who disagree with them. However, there is a much more rational interpretation that can be gleaned from President Trump's "threat." Let's say the PO were to sign a contract to purchase a new car, then enjoyed all the benefits of ownership without making any payments as he agreed to in the contract. Would anyone be surprised when the car was repossessed? Of course not. Well, members of NATO signed a contract for which they agreed to pay for the protection afforded by their membership in an alliance. Few have ever paid the installments for that protection. While President, Trump was able to enforce that agreement and many began making payments. I suspect he will do so again if reelected. Indeed, it's a promise that I expect him to keep or I will be sorely disappointed.
