ONE of the previous "objects" shot down during the flurry of hysteria after the 'Chinese Spy Balloon' was later identified as a research balloon from a US university. There is no system in place to know about even our own high altitude research balloons so long as they are under certain weight limits and absolutely no way to know anything about any such balloons that originate elsewhere.

We GUESS that some of the balloons come from China mostly on the basis of knowing where the jet stream runs through the upper atmosphere, but those balloons might just as well come from Russia, or Europe. About all we can be reasonably sure of is that they don't come from South America, Africa, or Australia, because that's not the direction balloons would float in the upper atmosphere.

I believed after the 'Chinese Spy Balloon' reveled the weakness in our defenses all balloons were to be fixed with transponders or another means of identifying them. This still taking place is totally unacceptable. With some of the NBC abilities this is a major threat to us. I suppose we shouldn't expect too much from President Biden, he is very busy fixing the problems that our State Department are using wrong pronouns.
