Lt Col Charlie Brown Memories of Trying to Set a Mode Bravo with a Ship that was within Line of Sight. Couldn't get it to Work. Finally went down to Radio Central to see what the Problem was. The Setting on the Transmitter was Like 1K Watts. I was Surprised the Antenna wasn't Glowing, Melting! 30 Watts would have been Plenty.
