"some speculate that" = "I want to politically smear someone, but I have absolutely no actual evidence." It also = "I know there is a good chance this is a bunch of BS, so I will post it and say "some" so that I can later wiggle out of my post and say that I was just saying what 'SOME PEOPLE' said, not that I agreed.

It's fun to speculate. It must be. We all love doing it. Forget the obvious. Israel must eliminate Hamas as an existential threat to its existence. Is it a threat? Don't ask me. Just listen to Hamas. They proudly proclaim their threat and act on it. Still, let's speculate. There are so many Jews involved and everybody hates the Jews. Always have. Mark Twain famously wrote of it.
