‘How Dare You’: Town Meeting Explodes After Officials Try To Make Contentious Hire

A town meeting in Collingdale, Pennsylvania, became heated on Tuesday when local officials attempted to hire a new police chief who is currently under investigation. According to ABC 6, the city was set to finalize the decision to hire Raheem Blanden, a Chester police officer, but the meeting quickly turned contentious.

Blanden is currently facing a criminal investigation for allegedly tipping off a suspect wanted for attempted homicide just five minutes before a police raid on his home, as reported by NBC10. Delco Fraternal Order of Police president Chris Eiserman expressed concern over this incident, stating, “He put every officer in danger by calling this individual and attempting to let them know that the SWAT team was coming to the house.”
