For those who do not know IFRC is entirely different from the American Red Cross and like the UN Refugee organization, has been infiltrated by people who do not have the US interests at heart. Nor are they unbiased. I have no problem with the US unfunding them as we have done with some of the UN organizations.

I don't trust the IRC in any way,shape, or form. From personal experience, they'll lie to your face with zero qualms. My best memory of them was when an IRC representative bent over to speak to a detainee we called T-Rex (due to polio and what it did to his right arm). The IRC guy got the stuffing slapped out of him. Oh, good times.

When the chips were down for me years ago the American RC came through for my family. They're also one of the most-recognized for CPR/First Aid accreditation. Granted, that's the American RC vs the International one.
