Starship Troopers was easy to watch, Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin! District 9 was a tough movie to watch, however! It was the first time I had seen Sharlto Copley in a movie and I think he’s a good actor.

Understood, however, the point here is the first Starship Troopers movie was meant more to undermine the political philosophy of the original novel and essentially saterizing it. The director Paul Verhoeven even admitted to finding the novel boring and that he couldn't finish it.
The movie's popularity was built mostly on a younger audience who never read the book, but enjoyed the action, effects, and cast members. In the end the movie was really an FU to Heinlein.
I'd like to see a more accurate repesenation, so I am looking forward to this.

I'll put up with a 2.5 hr movie if it more accurately depicts the first half of the book.
