I Just Toss Crushed Ice In The Water Container, Shake The Crap Out Of It,
Flip It Over & Pour Out The Ice ~ Wait For It To Dry Out Then I Put The Remaining
Burnt Scrapings Between 2 Slices Of Whole Wheat Bread, Slap On Some Mayonnaise
And I've Made A Sandwich.. And I'll Bet You Just Pour It Down The Drain, Don't Ya?

I knew a couple of US Naval ships mess deck silver bullets that could have used this technique.
The sludge that came out of those things was coffee in name and caffeine only. .

PO2 Bill Reardon Too funny! The GM1 that ran the mess deck above us was hell on wheels and his coffee makers were always full. We lived right below in the Mardet and we got along well with him. He was a brown water Navy Vietnam vet with Bronze Star and V, and a Purple Heart. He was 'rescued' by a Marine patrol after being wounded on land.

When I was in college I was on the fence about going into Naval Aviation. They sent me to Norfolk for a physical and while there I saw, for the first time, cooks using a toilet brush to clean the coffee urns. Years later I saw the same at an Air Force alert facility.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen That would disconcerting.
Especially if either did it walking out of the latrine and the brush was wet, or walked into the latrine after cleaning the coffee machine.
