My favorite story about George Forman was when he did color commentary for a boxing match involving a boxer named Golitha. During the match there were low blows and fouls. The match was stopped and a riot ensued. Several young men decided they were going to go after the ring sided announcers and officials at ring side. George Forman stood up and told the rowdy young men, “you really don’t want to do that”. You could clearly hear him over the tumult. The young men decided it was better to move on. Gee, I wonder why.
