Lt Col Charlie Brown My question would be, why would anyone vote against this bill?

A mysterious cloud surrounds the Democrats and Rhinos… why do they resist ANY common sense actions to secure or fix America?

Who's going to still be at Education Dept. to track all this, and - If the President won't do that now, and he accepted all kinds of emoluments in his first term - why would anyone think anyone else would report? I note that the article doesn't even one example of said foreign influence...nor does it quote any Congressmen at all about why they voted either for or against it.

All kinds of emoluments? I assume this is connected to President trump's interests in hotels. Is there any evidence that foreign king, state or government staying in Trump properties:
_ paid above the going rate.
_ paid directly to the president
_ sought favor because of their patronage
_ asked for or not favor was granted because of their patronage.
_ that the patronage was "faux" in that the foreigners paid for services, to which they did not actually avail themselves.

Maj John Bell - Yes - among them, the Saudi government (multiple people, with $$s estimated in the 100s or thousands) and the Romanian President staying at the DC hotel are just two examples.

Colleges and universities are not created under federal charter. They are created under state. In the event of the US Dept of education being shuttered, any donations of amounts that require disclosure would be reported as state legislatures mandate.

IN addition, both public and private institutions of higher learning are required to issue annual (at a minimum) financial statements.
