Williams passed away on 13 October 1999. He is buried at the Florence National Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina.

This guy was a true Hero Brother Jeff. There is another story about somebody being trapped underwater and he kept diving in until he freed the person. I volunteered for this type of boat but didn't get them. Rest In Eternal Peace Brother James E. Williams.
