Typical hyped up article. Is Russia building up? What changed in the Baltics when a German Panzer Brigade is now permanently stationed there along with the NATO Battalions? Does not Russia first have to win in the Ukraine? Would not sound as good if mentioned that.

We've been away from the Cold War much too long. Back in the day this was normal posturing that might make the 4th page of the daily brief if it was lucky.

It's bullshit, but if it lights a fire under NATO member legislatures to follow through on the 5% pledge, it's useful bullshit. One could also mention Poland building the largest European mechanized army, so fast that they have to buy a mix of U.S. and South Korean equipment because we can't supply them with tanks and SPGs fast enough for them.
