Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) for January 3, 2026. Today marks the first Full Moon of 2026, so I hope the weather will be favorable for you to be able to get a peek if you are so inclined, This image (I'm guessing) is from somewhere in Asia as the Moon has already made its appearance for the evening. I like how the moonlight reflects off the ground near the observer in the distance. Cheers.
