That's awesome. I'm so glad this WWII vet was able to partake in the honor flight even though he couldn't fly. You could tell he was very excited and a little emotional. Thanks Kelli. You're on a roll girl. Keep 'em coming. (-;

Yes, Sgt Kelli Mays I am very familiar with the Veterans Honor Flight. A friend of mine who is a WWII veteran of the Coast Guard who served on a Higgins landing craft in the Pacific for several USMC assault landings. He serves as a volunteer greeter for the veterans on Veterans Honor Flight who come to DC to look at the WWII memorial and other sights. He greets them and escorts them. A couple times he has been reacquainted with Navy veterans who served on the same ships that he was on.
