Our current Dog is 12 now, he's showing a bit of gray but still gets frisky now and again and wants to play. The expression on our Dog's face just conveys so much emotion, they are well aware of their owners mood and health.

My last dog had to be pit down in the late '70s, because he was suffering from multiple strokes per day. I still miss him, but I'm unable to take proper care of a dog these days. He was afraid of our open steps to the basement, but he would come to the landing to have me carry him into the basement. Then he would lay near my workbench or sleep while I repaired electronics. After that I worked too many hous most days sso Inever got another. I isn't right to leave one locked in a house 10 or more hours a day.
