could not fend off the rise of fascism.... I'm gonna stop you right there. There's a reason the Nazi party was able to rise up and conquer Germany. And this treaty, the French people's constant humiliation of the German people, and the global economic collapse were be key reasons.
Let's also point out the racial superiority Europeans generally held against Americans (whom many saw as inferior) and the Japanese and their own racial superiority towards other "races" (koreans, chinese, philipines, treatment of pow's).
You'd only need read a book to look and wonder what the hell these people were drinking.
At the end of the day, there are a lot of fingers to point, but, that gets us nowhere (as usual) and only takes us back to defend or attack things that a majority of people were not alive for.
