I do not see the shootings as a hate crime, the guy was nuts.. I served a year in Korea and avoided the massage parlors etc. What is ignored is Korea was a very patriarchal society and the sex industry thrived. The sex culture was hard to ignore, it was everywhere. In Seoul Korea there was a business district , as close as I can spell it, called Mearie Dong. It was a high end brothel area with business men inside and the chauffeur driven vehicles and drivers out side. It is a very different culture. One military friend of mine who had a Korean girl friend was offered $10,000 to marry a Korean women and bring her to states for prostitution. Don’t blame westerners for the sexualization of oriental women, oriental men have been doing it for well long before WWII, think f the Korean comfort women.

Chip regardless of race, gender, religion etc... i.e. Asian Women I am pretty sure that would fall under the hate crime umbrella. I am not looking for position as emperor of the world however, I would be more than happy to be the advisor to the world. I would piss some people off but it would be a better place.
