Perhaps, but it sounds more like he suspects her of cheating because she ordinarily doesn't use the word hence. Not sure if this is what I would call a substantiated claim of racism. Is there anything else to back up her claim of racism or just her mental perceptions of self victimization? Could be but there is not enough evidence for a rational person to determine that this is racism.

There are a lot of words people use in papers that they do not use in everyday talk. I had professors use to critique my papers as being less than college level because I kept my language simple; thus, implying I needed to use bigger, intellectual words that I normally wouldn't use on a daily basis. Could be there isn't enough evidence here for a rational educator to determine this is plagiarism.

It was only a matter of time. This what it's like to be a conservative in college classes today. Very few people write the same way they speak.

Surprising! Most higher learning facilities are liberal factories. To see this from any person is saddening. The teacher, if he felt it was plagiarized, should have talked to the student first to gauge her language abilities, not assumed, maybe he did know her abilities I don't know. I think she should of spoken to the teacher first but in this age of "safe places" I can see why it didn't happen.

True. A good educator who suspects cheating wouldn't accuse a student in front of the class.
